More than 2,500 years old, the city of Rome is a veritable museum intertwined with a modern city. The construction of Rome’s newest metro line—Line C which runs from Monte Compatri-Pantano in the eastern suburbs to its western terminus at Lodi. Thus, the line runs underground near the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Throughout construction, archaeologists were allowed to document and recover a variety of ancient finds. The most recently announced is part of a former 1,800-year old house.
