Blue Shamrock, Debonaire, and Woolen Vest—new paint colors inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright

Historic preservationists mostly consider changes that are reversible are allowable, and painting the façade of an historic building can fall under that principle. However in some cases historic paint colors lend an air of authenticity to the physical architectural structure. Colonial Williamsburg Foundation partnered with Benjamin Moore paints in the creation of the Colonial Williamsburg Collection. The National Trust for Historic Preservation teamed with Valspar to create a series of period paints. And in Miami Beach, a new color palette was created to dress up the formerly austere art deco architecture with tropical flair. Now, a new paint series inspired by the designs of 20th-century architect Frank Lloyd Wright has been developed in partnership with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.
