“In the country that built the Great Wall, major feats of infrastructure have long been a point of pride”

In the US, the recent political campaign promised new investments in badly needed infrastructure repairs and expansion. But as is often the case, while most agree these projects are necessary, would create jobs, and help expand the economy, sources of funding remain elusive politically speaking. In China, which is known for its grand-scale infrastructure projects, the new bridge building campaign has raised significant financial questions.
