“Cheers from the oil and gas industry and jeers from almost everyone else”
The US National Park Service routinely ranks at or near the top of the most popular government agencies, the park system is often referred to as “America’s best idea,” and national parks have seen record numbers of visitors in recent years. Still, the budget proposed by the current White House administration, would have a deleterious effect on the American landscape through its decimation of the human and financial resources of this important agency charged to be stewards of some the nation’s most iconic landscapes and sites.
