SOHO: San Diego's preservation response to proposed development

For years, the field of historic preservation has labored under the mis-guided notion saving our architectural heritage is a hindrance to economic development. Despite numerous studies and examples of the important part that preservation contributes to and enhances economic development efforts. Today, in San Diego, California, a group called Save Our Heritage Organization (SOHO) is battling this perception to promote preservation as economic catalyst in the city's C Street corridor.
