Mapping modernist masterpieces

Frank Lloyd Wright was one of the most celebrated architects of the 20th century. While Fallingwater is perhaps his best known—or at least most recognized—work, Wright also designed numerous offices, schools, churches, skyscrapers and churches. Recently, a group of Wright properties were nominated by the United States to the World Heritage list at the annual World Heritage meeting in Istanbul (the discussion of which was interrupted by the attempted political coup of the Turkish government). While the nomination was "referred" (which is actually a request for additional information rather than a formal denial of listing), it is conceivable that these properties will indeed be inscribed on the World Heritage list in the future. This article maps the locations of numerous Wright properties across the United States.
