"Leather-bound volumes and stakes of parchment"
From the Division of Ancient Records, to the Hall of Records, New York City's vast archive of court documents are scheduled to be moved to state-of-the-art facilities. Some of the records will be relocated to the city's Department of Records; others will be moved to the New York State Archives in Albany. Once completed, not only will the preservation of these important records be ensured, but researchers will have greater access to them.
