National Coming Oud Day represents long-standing efforts to openly celebrate the sexual orientation and gender identity of those in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities. As much as LGBT rights has been extensively in the news, and in the courts, in recent years, the nature of such relationships was decidedly different in some ancient societies.
