Cannonballs on Folly Beach
The recent Hurricane Matthew pounded the Atlantic coast of the United States from Florida north through Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina before turning out to see. Walking along Folly Beach, outside of Charleston, SC and across the water from Fort Sumter (the site of the first shots of the US Civil War), the Charleston County Sheriff discovered a clump of rusted Civil-war era cannonballs that had been revealed by the erosion of the beach during the storm.
