China looks to the United States to help expand its national park system
In contrast to the highly polluted cities of modern-day China, 18% of the land area is under some form of wilderness protection, a slightly higher percentage than the United States. But what has been referred to as "America's best idea"—its national park system, is now forming a model for the expansion and administration of China's protected lands.
