Brutalism is back?

Concrete has a long and varied history. First "discovered" (or used) by the Romans, the Pantheon in Rome perhaps the most notable ancient example, but concrete also was used to build the Colosseum, the Panama Canal, and the Hoover Dam. In the mid 20th century, the material became a favorite of architects such as Le Corbusier. By the 1960s and '70s, Boston's City Hall and the subway (metro) in Washington, DC incorporated this style.
