Cementing a place in preservation history—the Great Wall of China
Various scientific fields have contributed to the development of modern techniques to conserve and restore heritage sites, whether of wood, stone, steel or glass, or some intricate combination of materials. Unfortunately, these new techniques were not employed on this section of the Great Wall of China, a World Heritage Site.
