Cartier’s flagship store in New York City is housed in a 1904 neo-Renaissance mansion built for a railroad tycoon on the famed stretch of Fifth Avenue. Cartier obtained the building in 1917 for his jewelry store and eventually the store was expanded into an adjacent townhouse. The building was just re-opened to after a stunning renovation.
