Digitalizing the damage to ancient sites in Syria and Iraq

The Getty Conservation Institute and the World Monuments Fund collaborated on the development of a digital software program to allow researchers and preservationists to document and monitor cultural sites in the midst of the war-torn Middle East. Focusing on Syria and northern Iraq, the American School for Oriental Research is using this software to provide weekly updates.
