“Largest Neolithic rubbish dump”
Archaeologists working at Ness of Brodgar on Orkney, Scotland have discovered a large, stone chamber, possibly a tomb. One of the mysteries of the site, however, is that it is covered over by a huge midden, or trash dump, dating to the Neolithic period.
