Angkor—“astonishing detail by an aerial laser survey”

The towers of the temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia poke up through the dense jungle canopy in the center of what was once one of the largest cities on earth. While researchers have long suspected this, aerial laser surveys conducted over the past five years have provided solid evidence.
