“A foyer to absorb crowds with grace and efficiency”

In 1989, the famous Louvre Museum in Paris opened a new entrance—a glass and metal pyramid situated right smack in the museum’s courtyard. Now, an architect is attempting to do something similar at Versailles—adding a new entrance of modern design to accommodate the growing number of visitors to the famous 17th-century estate and grounds, now a World Heritage site, outside of Paris.
