The transformation of a medieval village to a modern college campus

The Savannah College of Art and Design, founded in 1978 in Savannah, Georgia, has grown to include campuses in Atlanta, Hong Kong, and Lacoste, France. In Savannah, the college has grown its campus through the purchase and rehabilitation of numerous buildings in Savannah’s storied historic district and beyond, helping to guarantee the preservation of historic buildings and a lively urban scene. In Lacoste, France, the college is doing similar work, adapting buildings throughout this medieval village into a vibrant college campus.
