The National Museum of African American History and Culture opens this fall

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture will be the newest addition to the mall in Washington, DC when it opens to the public September 24. The museum is being constructed on what is considered to be the last buildable parcel on the mall, which runs from the Capitol Building past the Washington Monument to the Lincoln Memorial. This article gives a sneak peak of the architecture, artifact, and stories that will comprise the museum.
