Not exactly the world’s oldest profession, but still….

Building with modern materials and techniques requires its own set of unique skills. However the mastery of such trades as stonemasonry and carpentry necessary to restore historic buildings are in danger of vanishing. Without such skilled workers, how will our built heritage be saved? And could reinvesting in such skills provide a bridge to jobs in the 21st century?
