“Two by two”

Recent archaeological investigations in Israel have revealed 5th-century mosaics portraying a number of events outlined in the Bible. Among these, one mosaic shows pairs of animals being led to Noah’s ark and another illustrates the parting of the Red Sea. The mosaics were uncovered at the site of a former synagogue of the ancient Israeli village of Huqoq.
