Looking for evidence of the first legislative assembly at Jamestowne

Years of archaeological excavation have revealed numerous details about life at James Fort, established in 1607 on the James River. Recent activity is focusing on a 1617 church, which two years later was the site of the first legislative assembly held in the new colony.
